Bypassr ("we", "us", or "our") is a job search outreach platform operated at bypassr.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

By using Bypassr, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password (or Google OAuth credentials) when you register.
• Job search brief: your target role, location, preferred industries, seniority level, and other criteria you provide during onboarding.
• Resume content: text you paste or upload to help us understand your background and tailor outreach.
• Gmail access: if you connect your Google account, we request gmail.send and gmail.readonly scopes to send outreach emails on your behalf and read replies so you can track responses. We do not store the body of your emails on our servers beyond what is necessary to display them in your inbox view.
• Usage data: pages visited, clicks, and feature interactions used to improve the product.

3. How We Use Gmail Data

When you connect your Gmail account:

• We use gmail.send solely to send outreach emails that you explicitly compose and approve within Bypassr.
• We use gmail.readonly solely to detect replies to emails Bypassr sent, so we can update the status of your outreach campaigns.
• We do not read, scan, store, or share any email content unrelated to outreach campaigns you initiated through Bypassr.
• We do not sell Gmail data or use it for advertising.
• Your Gmail OAuth token is stored securely and is only used for the actions described above. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings or from your Bypassr account settings.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Third-Party Data Sources

To identify potential employer contacts, Bypassr uses third-party services including Apollo.io, Hunter.io, and Apify to discover publicly available professional information (names, job titles, and business email addresses). We use this data only to help you craft targeted job outreach and do not resell it.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, database, payment processing).
• Legal authorities if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@bypassr.app.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encrypted at rest) to protect your data. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and never logged.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Contact us at support@bypassr.app to exercise any of these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use of Bypassr after changes constitutes acceptance.
